Our flexible approach permits us to seek out attractive privately-held companies based on a thorough and disciplined evaluation of their opportunity to generate sustained growth and strong risk-adjusted returns on invested capital.
We are attracted to companies that possess the following characteristics:
We particularly seek investment opportunities where the prudent use of capital can be combined with improvement in operating performance, resulting in enhanced revenues, cash flow, and earnings. Strategies for achieving these objectives may include: restructuring of the corporate balance sheet; development of new products, services, and markets; improving operating efficiencies and supply chain relationships; building new channels of distribution; and acquiring complimentary companies.
While we have no pre-set investment size, we normally look to invest in companies with enterprise values between $50 million to $500 million. In most cases, the Firm requires representation on the company's board. We have no pre-set investment holding period, but normally expect to exit from our investment within five to seven years.

- Proven Business Model evidenced by attractive operating margins; diverse customer base, strong and predictable free cash flow; high variable cost structure; low exposure to market cyclicality, severe price fluctuation; and technological obsolescence.
- Strong Opportunities for Growth in market share and critical mass through leveraging of the company's competitive advantages and, potentially, through consolidation of industry competitors.
- Proprietary Products and Services that carry sustainable competitive advantages and create substantial barriers to entry.
- High-Quality Brand Names or franchises in their respective markets.
