David J. Machlica
Managing Partner
David Machlica is Managing Partner of Manhattan Investment Partners, LLC (“MIP”), and he leads the overall activities of the firm. His corporate finance, strategic advisory, and investment experience extends across a variety of sectors, including energy and natural resources; manufacturing and industrial products; media and communications; entertainment; real estate and sports facilities; consumer goods; information technology; and business services, encompassing over $5 Billion in related transactions.
Mr. Machlica also serves as Managing Principal of Venue Strategies, LLC, MIP's affiliate engaged in the planning, development, financing, and management of sports and destination entertainment facilities.
Before joining MIP, he was Managing Director at its predecessor First Manahattan Capital Partners in New York. Previously, he was Director in the Management Consulting Group at Laventhol & Horwath, where he led the firm’s New York City-based real estate advisory services practice. Prior, Mr. Machlica was Director of Planning and Development at The Dunn Corporation, a provider of science, technology and engineering services to major construction, natural resources, and energy companies worldwide. Earlier in his career, Mr. Machlica was selected as a U.S. Congressional Fellow at the Commerce Department.
Mr. Machlica received his undergraduate degree from The University of Massachusetts, and his graduate degrees from The Pennsylvania State University and The University of London. He served as a Director of BroadSat Networks, Inc., a private satellite-enabled broadband services provider, and Virdias, Inc., a state-of-the art enterprise utility delivering integrated, on-demand voice, video and data communications (where he was Vice Chairman). Currently, Mr. Machlica is a member of the Advisory Board for The Aurora Games International Women's Sports Festival, andserves as a Director of Sports Media Investors, LLC, focused on broadcast level sports and entertainment production opportunities.
