Strategic Advisory We provide advice to management on critical matters pertaining to corporate planning and growth strategy, business organization, and on the realization of operating and investment objectives that maximize shareholder value. We help to identify and evaluate potential merger, acquisition, divestiture, investment, and partnership opportunities on behalf of buyers, sellers, and their agents operating primarily in the middle market. Once a prospective business opportunity has been defined, we advise our clients throughout the entire transaction process, including assisting in the selection of investment banking firms and outside accounting and legal advisors.
Integral to this process is the development of descriptive business information and pre-qualification of counter-parties derived from the Firm's in-house data base and extensive industry and financial contacts. Finally, we advise management on the structuring and negotiation of transaction terms, and assist in undertaking of due diligence efforts, needed to secure a successful close.

This may include evaluation of business practices across functional lines, industry benchmarking, redesign of supply chain relationships and manufacturing operations, analysis of competitive technologies, products and markets, and development of business opportunities (such as strategic alliances, joint ventures, and the opening of new markets). For enterprises in financial distress, MIP will direct and/or assist in the creation and implementation of turnaround strategies, re-capitalizations, and disposition alternatives.
